For more than a decade, Vanguard has created an environment where young performers can train, grow, create and push themselves further.
We’ve seen first-hand the commitment required from young people who want to take their performing arts training seriously, and the challenge of balancing those ambitions with a traditional school day.
So we asked a different question. What if they didn’t have to choose?
Vanguard Academy is being created to give students in Years 9–12 the time and environment to pursue their academic education while continuing to invest seriously in their development as performers.
For young people
who want more.
Vanguard Academy will be offered to students entering Years 9–12 in 2027. It is intended for young performers who are serious about their development and would benefit from an education model designed around their training.
For students with ambition, commitment and a genuine desire to develop.
Two parts. One school day.
Academic education
Students complete their Years 9–12 academic education through our education provider, with structured learning, curriculum, teacher support, assessment and academic progression.
Performing arts training
The Academy week is intentionally designed to create space for high-level performing arts training within Vanguard’s professional training environment.
Education isn’t being replaced by training. The school day is being redesigned to make room for both.
